My passion for fitness began in high school. I played volleyball and softball. My junior year, I did not make the volleyball team, and I was heartbroken.
I had a one-on-one with the coach and asked what I needed to do to make the team the next year. I spent that summer doing a lot of running, lifting weights, and foot speed drills. I drastically changed my body and discovered just how much I was capable of. I made the team my senior year!
In college, I worked at the Physical Fitness Center and did some training (even though I was an English/Spanish major!). In 2006, I got married and my husband, Jon, enlisted in the Army. I then attended massage therapy school while he was doing his basic training.
We moved to Columbus, GA in May of 2007, where I began my massage career and fascination with the human body. In July of 2010, I was introduced to Crossfit. I was hooked right from the beginning. I started doing massages and helped with coaching at Crossfit Inception.
We moved to Woodstock, GA in January 2012 and the Crossfit community helped us find new friends right away. I am proud to say that I am in the best shape I’ve ever been in, and continually improving.
I’m looking forward to sharing my passion for Crossfit and the amazing capabilities of the human body.
