I know CrossFit has been a game changer for me, I started 4 months ago and had problems with my knees from mountain biking and snowboarding. My knees were sore every time I went up and down my stairs at home, now I’m running my stairs after all the leg squats I’ve been doing. When I first started I was thinking this is as good as my knees will be, but that changed fast. My mountain bike climbing has become far better then it’s been in years, I’m much faster and stronger now, and now I’m really enjoying it more then I have in years. CrossFit has changed the direction of my life from sitting around to looking forward to coming to class. This month I just started another sport I’ve been wanting to do for 18 years, I’m now learning to white water kayak on our beautiful river we have here. This is my 3rd sport I’m active in now, mountain biking, snowboarding and now kayaking. Tonight’s class, AMRAP Cindy I just did 120 push-ups without being on my knees, I’ve never dreamed of doing that. Ever class makes me feel stronger and better. This is just a few things that CrossFit has done for me. Starting CrossFit at age 56, I would have laughed at you for asking, but now I’ll tell you jump right in and go for it.
And finally snowboarding season is coming and I can’t wait to hit the slopes after all my squats, I’m going to shred the mountains.
