This was sent to me via facebook from a chiropractor who CrossFit’s in Winnipeg:
“I have a little challenge to throw at your crossfit gym…we are doing the thruster challenge this month. You take your Fran weight for thrusters and see how many you can do without dropping the bar below your shoulders. SO far I am leading scorer in our gym with 55 reps @ 65 pounds…see if any of you can beat the 7 1/2 month pregnant lady 😉”
Suzanne is (as she mentions) 7 1/2 months pregnant, she is strong, she has run a marathon in the past, and has a fantastic Fight Gone Bad score in the 300’s.
Strategy: don’t over fatigue, the weight will either feel really heavy for you standing, or thrusting (or both).Â If you can actually rest while standing, then break them up and do five at a time.Â If you feel yourself fatiguing quickly from holding the weight, then rest little and try to keep moving.Â 95# and 65# will be a challenge to be able to beat her numbers.Â If you try it, simply post it to comments.
