Kendrick Farris – missed 205kg CJ, in SLOW MOTION. A couple things to watch in Kendrick’s technique, his clean is perfect, in slow motion you will see he does not bend his arms until he is in full extension, then he dives under the bar. He misses this lift because his timing fails on the drive for the jerk, and the bar spring causes him to pause. In that moment, the lift is failed, and would be nearly miraculous to save. Also notice how he regrips wide for his jerk. Most of us NEED to grip just outside of shoulder width. He is able to grip wide because he gets under the bar so fast, so he is doing little to press the bar, but mostly dropping under the bar. He takes his max loads all the way to the ground before standing them up. If you watch his other videos, you will see he does not drop so low when he is at 195kg. Awesome lifter, fun to watch!
