Skill: Box jumps – work on speed and opening the hip at the top quickly

Deadlift (315lb / 205lb)
Box jump (30”/24”)

Todd Marchant of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. Todd was a childhood nemesis of Eric from our gym, playing against each other in championship games every year. After Todd's first year at college, the two faced off again in a summer hockey league, where Todd dominated Eric on the ice. In Eric's word's "Todd found the dead-lift that year, and trying to check him was like trying to check a tree trunk... he just didn't move". Today's WOD is all about finding your dead-lift. Todd has gone on to win a Stanley Cup Championship and continues a now 20-year professional sports career. Find your dead-lift... who knows.
